Flower delivery?

Wait...it's not Valentine's day.  Not my birthday.  Not my anniversary.

Today I left the office early to work from home since I am STILL so sick.  I was in such a rush that I left my cell phone at the office.  Of course I did not realize this until I walk into the house.  I turned myself around to go back and get it (good thing the office is less than 5 miles away). What do I find sitting on my desk (next to my cell phone)?!  Flowers...not just flowers but a living tulip bulbs in a planter - perfect for my desk!  I called my hubby right away and confirmed that the sweetness and surprise was courtesy of my man. Yay!  Note: Tulips are my fave.  I got the "just because" reason when I asked what it was about. How did he know that I wanted something nice for my office desk?

It's nice being me.  Even when sick and absentminded.  Good thing I forgot my phone huh?

Wife, loved.

Thank Heaven for Hubbies

First off I am deathly ill today but since I have to be up to pump I've decided to multitask and squeeze out a quick blog.  I came down very suddenly with aches, pains, chills, and fever.  Last night my amazing husband took care of our baby boy while I slept.  I woke this morning with the same symptoms: headache, sore throat, fever, chills, and body aches.  It was worse this morning since I didn't nurse at all since earlier the previous morning.  I had major soreness in my chest.  Felt like a elephant sitting on me.  I can barley keep my head up now, but if I don't pump I'll die from pain!  My hubby is a superstar and I am so lucky that he is so good with our baby.  Kudos to single mom's out there.  I cannot imagine being sick and having to go it alone.  Wife - sick, but happy.

Time

We all need time for hobbies.  It's nice way of taking you to a relaxing place.  I am happy that hubby has his "photo/film-making/editing/and everything camera related" interests and that I have again taken up blogging.  Bonus with hubby's hobby:  Our son will have awesome chronicles of his life via photos & film.  Yay.   So, I am thankful for finding spare moments to squeeze our hobbies into our busy days & nights. Maybe he & I can get together & photo/video blog - a collaborative effort maybe?  Uh....On second thought, separate hobbies are good!  I'd rather stay indoors as he shoots the moon.  I'm happy indoors.

Hubby as Daddy - too cute

This happy wife loves to see her hubby in his new daddy role.  Our little one LOVES his papa. One of the baby duties that he took on as daddy is nose patrol.  My little guy never has runny, crusty, or snot stuck nostrils.  This doting daddy, my husband, is extremely diligent at making sure that our child's nose is in tip top shape. This morning our little guy stuck his finger into his daddy's right nostril and immediately put that little digit into daddy's mouth!  I think it's payback from all the times my husband cleans out his boogies!  I think he learned this trick from his God brother who did the same to my husband last year!  Our Godson was a little older than our guy at the time - he cracked up so hard after doing this so we knew it was intentional! Maybe our son is just showing his daddy some love by returning the favor.  I'm glad that I am not the booger expert.  I'll stick to the mani-pedi's as I am better with nail clipping vs. boogie picking.  Wife, happy.

Multitasking

A picture is worth a thousand words, right?!  I'm not sure if I have a thousand words to say about this one. I love it.  3 words sum it up for me.

Note:  When I started blogging again I had the mindset that I would post words and not so much by way of pictures.  To me  photos are a bit personal and I wanted to be conservative with what I share on the world wide web.  I figured that at this time my readership is low, so why not?  Plus, looking at this picture makes me happy.

I have to share my observations: This daddy is playing a game on the PS3, caring for a napping infant in the Sleepy Wrap (we love!), probably paying bills online on the laptop (I see an Amex bill on the sofa arm to his right), and looking quite relaxed.  Definitely not a stressed out first time dad!  It looks to me that he has the time to play games, pay bills, take care of baby, relax, and be photographed - not bad. Wife, happy.
